Winnie the Pooh Honey Pot Pumpkin

My daughter had a book and pumpkin contests where she picked out her favorite book and created a pumpkin to go along with the characters in her book. Her choice was Winnie the Pooh, so we knew right away it had to be a honey pot. I had remembered seeing a pumpkin done on Pinterest that was the most adorable idea to make as a honey pot (Here) that was our inspiration for this project. To create this pumpkin we painted it with acrylic craft paints and dripped hot glue down the sides and painted over the glue to look like honey, we first tried to melt yellow crayons which was working but was a slow and tedious process, so we went with glue in the end.. For the top of the jar we purchased a plastic bowl from the dollar store and inserted a knob found at a local craft store (you can also find them at a local hardware store). I hope you like our finished product, and wish us luck at my daughters contest 🙂
