Instructions:

STEP ONE

Gather all supplies. To create each Minion, line up four jumbo craft sticks on your work surface. Using scissors, trim additional jumbo craft sticks to the width of the Minion and attach with a glue gun and glue sticks.

TIP: You can use liquid craft glue for this project, but you will have to wait for it to dry.

Basecoat the craft stick Minions with bright yellow acrylic craft paint. Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.

STEP TWO

Basecoat the plastic water bottle caps with metallic silver acrylic craft paint.  Let the paint dry and then apply a second coat, if necessary.

Once dry, insert wiggle eyes into the silver painted plastic water bottle caps securing with a glue gun and glue sticks.

STEP THREE

Cut strips of black cardstock and glue to the Minions. Attach one or two wiggle eyes to the black strip with a glue gun and glue sticks.

Cut the black chenille stems into smaller sections with scissors. Secure to the top back of the Minions with a glue gun and glue sticks. Style the Minions’ hair.

Using black acrylic craft paint, add the Minions mouths, creating a variety of expressions.

STEP FOUR

Download and print the CRAFT STICK MINION PATTERNS onto blue cardstock. Cut out a pair of overalls for each minion. Attach the overalls to the craft stick Minion with a glue gun and glue sticks.

STEP FIVE

Cut the left and right rounded end of the craft stick off with scissors. Paint the Minions feet with black acrylic craft paint. Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.

STEP SIX

Cut out the Minion’s pockets. Attach to the overalls with a glue gun and glue sticks.

Create these mischievous Dollar Store Craft Stick Minions to work on shapes, cutting, color and counting with the kiddos. Make learning FUN! Make a bunch of Minions and add names with a marker to create fun place cards for dinner or hours of playtime.
